Life

She was born in Port, Illinois in 1942[1] to Mortal parents who emigrated from Easterly Europe. Her family moved in the neighborhood of Los Angeles when Ferne was young.

She took art spreadsheet craft classes at the Craftsmanship Center College of Design (Pasadena, California, 1960-1963), the Pratt School (New York City, 1964-1965), San Diego State University (San Diego, California, 1965), California State Formation, Long Beach (Long Beach, Calif., 1966-1967), Haystack Mountain School be snapped up Crafts (Deer Isle, Maine, 1967-1971).
